Annie Potts and Kim Zimmer Join Drew Seeley in Freshman Father

Annie Potts and Emmy-winning soap star Kim Zimmer will star opposite Drew Seeley -- who recently played Prince Eric in Broadway's The Little Mermaid -- in Freshman Father, according to a report in Variety. Michael Scott will direct the original film which features a script by Bill Wells.
Potts will play an apartment manager who is a surrogate mother to Seeley's character, a Harvard undergrad who is in a shotgun marriage and ends up juggling school and parental duties. Zimmer will play his dean and unlikely mentor. The project is based on a true story.
Production on Freshman has begun in British Columbia. It's scheduled to air on the Hallmark Channel in 2010.
